PRAYER MOVES MOUNTAINS...

PRAYER MOVES MOUNTAINS

Hello friends, I’m going to share about an instance in my life where my life would not have been the same today had it not been for prayer.

I’m sharing this post after I’ve seen that many people,even those that felt as if their prayers are having no impact on anything have been encouraged to pray more after my previous post on the power of prayer below on my timeline.

Psalms 91:14-15 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name. HE SHALL CALL UPON ME AND I WILL ANSWER HIM
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.”

Many times we find ourselves in impossible situations and usually resort to crying and complaining but we should know that the solution lies in prayer. When we cry and complain instead of praying, we are throwing away the ONLY KEY that will get us out of that situation.

While I was still in University, the Lord had revealed to me that SOME of my Lecturers were agents of darkness.

They hated me because I was making it difficult for them to carry out their missions against humanity through my prayers,and they also hated that I’m a child of God and was going to be saved and would they try to make my life difficult . Since they belong to the darkness,they find anything belonging to the light repulsive.

Due to the fact that they were my Lecturers and my grades were at their mercy,they tried to oppress me by trying to fail me. Before I was a Christian, I never had such problems and had even passed my 12th grade with no problems whatsoever.

However, it was a different story now.

There was one particular Lecturer who was out to get me and seemed to have a deep resentment for me. Everytime he was in class,I could feel his hatred for me emanating from him to me and I could feel that he greatly detested me.

That time,I was in 4th year term 3 and was about to complete my studies. I had good grades in almost all my courses and that must have upset him and he set out to make sure that I don’t graduate.

He gave us one assignment which was going to be graded as the marks for our Continuous Assessment (CA). We were not given any other tasks,which means the percentage one got in the assignment was graded as the percentage of the CA.

He made his assignment very difficult,but I managed to at least get a 60% which came out as the highest mark. About 3 of us got that mark.

It must have upset him that I was among the people who had the highest mark on my CA for his course and he decided to cancel it.

He said many people had failed and so we should cancel the first assignment and write a new one,as the upcoming exam only catered for 50% of the course, which means many people would not be able to pass his course from the exam alone.

He cancelled the assignment, gave us another one and made sure to fail me and made me get below 40% and said I did not have a CA because I got below the pass mark. I asked him to maintain my previous assignment but he refused.

This now meant I had to rely on the exam which only carried 50% of the course work and it would be very difficult for me to pass,adding the fact that he would obviously make his exam very hard.

I was distraught and didn’t know what to do. This meant that even if I had good grades in other courses, I would not graduate as long as I didn’t pass his course.

So I asked him to give me another assignment so that I can pass it and it becomes my CA but he refused.

He was clearly having the time of his life oppressing me and thought he had got me.

Exam period even came and we started writing. However, I was disturbed the whole time because I was thinking about his course where I did not have a CA. It was probably his aim to also make me fail other courses because he knew I’d feel disturbed because of his course.

I looked for his phone number and tried to ask him for the second time to write another assignment but he again refused. I also started receiving texts messages on my phone from him,raining insults on me and calling me a failure and saying how he would never allow me to write another assignment in his course.

I was shocked at such behaviour coming from a Lecturer who is by default supposed to be a respectable person. At this point I felt helpless.

This is how real and intense spiritual battles can be. They translate into real life because Satan is trying to intimidate you so that you give up following God so that he can have you. It is only because God holds us strong through His Holy Spirit that we do not give up. If we were relying on human strength, one would have given up long ago due to uncountable persecutions.

Then I decided to go on a two day fast of neither eating nor drinking anything. It was very difficult to concentrate while studying and to go and write exams while feeling hungry and weak especially that it was summer and I was feeling dehydrated.

It was the only solution because even if I retook his exam the following year,he would still make sure to fail me. He was the only Lecturer for that course.

I wrote his exam on the first day of my two days fast and after the exam,I went to ask him for the third time to write another assignment which would count as my CA. I thought to myself “Surely,he will not refuse this time because I have began a two day fast.” Surprisingly, he still refused.

However, I went home and continued with my fast. I did not give up.

I was at my boarding house on the second day of my fast preparing for the next day’s exam when I suddenly received a call from him, “Hello,is this Zipporah Mushala,come to my office in the next 30 minutes and get a question for your assignment which I will grade as your CA”

I couldn’t believe it, the one who had seemed so high and mighty had finally been brought to the ground! God is great and prayer will NEVER fail you!

Another thing I also learnt was about never giving up. That Lecturer had still turned me down even on my first day of fasting but I DID NOT give up. I went home and still continued with my fast. God saw my determination and also saw that my faith ONLY lies in Him and was COMPELLED to answer. If you don’t give up,you will receive the answer to your prayers.

This also shows how powerful prayer is and that there is nothing too high and mighty that can’t be humbled through prayer. Your prayers are not in vain. You are in the physical world and can’t see what changes are being done in the spiritual realm due to your prayers. Just have faith that something is happening even though you can’t see it. Satan lies that you are wasting your time so that those changes can stop happening in the spiritual realm. If you listen to him and give up you will lose.

I passed that assignment and his exam and graduated with a Bachelors degree with Merit,which was the HIGHEST grade in my intake. So I finally emerged victorious because of prayer despite intense opposition.

God is good and prayer works. Never be discouraged and never stop praying no matter how things may look.

Phillipians 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”
