Paying Tithe and Offering is a command. If You are preparing for the rapture but you don't pay your tithes, know that you are stealing from God.If you are not paying the whole 10 percent but just pay part of it you are still a thief. And if you only pay your tithe sometimes and not all the time;if you only pay it when you feel you have less responsibilities requiring money, you are still a thief.Tithe must be paid ALL the time. Its a command from God and attracts a curse when you break it.You won't only live with a curse here on earth but when you die,you can't enter heaven and will go to hell for being a thief, stealing from God.And if Jesus comes back while you are still stealing the tithes and offerings, you will be left behind. Not paying tithe is not a small issue, its very serious to God.Make things right with God,repent of your stealing and bring the tithes and offerings to God.Tithe must be paid in church, not given to the poor. The reason why you can't give the tithe to the poor is because the tithe belongs to God,its God's money. You can't give away money that's not yours. If you want to give to the poor, still, first bring the whole tithe to church, then you can give the poor from what you have remaining. It must be brought to God's house. And don't tithe money you ve gotten in an unclean way e.g thru robbery, prostitution, cheating,or any crooked way coz God won't accept it.Thieves will not inherit heaven, that includes those stealing thru tithes and offerings.Give your life to Jesus, repent and turn from your sin.The day of repentance is now.God is very eager to forgive and not punish. But He only forgives those who repent.Forgive everyone you ve not forgiven, then ask God for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, you will find mercy.God Bless You

Madumane,10 percent of the money God provides for us is not ours,it must be given back to Him.Not doing so is stealing and even if its a whole church stealing, they will be left behind.God only respects His word.He wants obedience to His word from His children.

Malachi 3:8 says “I ask you, is it right for a person to cheat God? Of course not, yet you are cheating me. ‘How?’you ask. In the matter of tithes and offerings.

Infact, whole churches will be left behind when Jesus returns, not only because of tithes but because of the members going to church but still living in sin because they aren’t being taught the whole truth.Even mega churches will be left behind. The Lord Jesus Christ told us He doesn’t care how big or small a church is.He only cares about obedience to His word.

I don’t agree that failing to pay tithes would take you to hell. Quote the scripture that says one would go to hell if they fail to pay tithes? There is no where in the bible that recorded that Jesus or any of his disciples paid tithe. Paul only advised that christians should set aside portion of their weekly earning for the church. He never stated an amount. Additionally we should give cheerfully;and it is not limited to 10% . Please read 1st Corinthians 16v2 and 2nd Corinthians 9v7. Meaning your giving could be more or less. Salvation in Jesus Christ is what takes you to heaven and not tithing. Remember as christians we are no longer under the curse of the law. Otherwise if tithing is a requirement for salvation, then we should be practicing all the other laws and no need for what Jesus did on the cross for us. Additionally, the Israelites tithed in crops and animals and not with money, even though they were using money in those days; since they were paying tax.

Bayea read Malachi3:7_12 then read Genesis where Abraham paid 10% of what he got to Melchizedek the high priest then read Deuteronomy lastly read Hebrews 7 bout offerings and tithes now by virtue of the fact that God said we do it it means if we dont we are disobeying and the disobedient will not inherit the kingdom of God,my question has always been the right amount to give

My response is directed to Bayea Ngegbai , and it is simple Read:
Acts 5:1-11, the story of Ananias and Sapphira, what happened to both of them when they failed to bring the full tithe to the Lord? That is in the new testament brother!
