Many Christians do not receive what they ask for because they give up praying. You can pray for a few months and if the answer doesn’t come, you give up. God answers in different ways, sometimes He will answer immediately and other times He will not answer immediately.
Delay is not denial. God will never make you wait in vain, the answer is sure. If He was not going to give you what you are praying for,He would have simply said so and not made you wait.
However in our minds, we interpret delay as denial. There are many reasons God makes us wait but one of them is to determine where our faith lies. If we give up on God,it means we have faith that even without Him,we can still get what we want. In the end,we end up using regrettable means to achieve what we want instead of waiting on God. However, the blessings of the Lord are pure. Proverbs 10:22-24 “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich,And He adds no sorrow with it.” God makes us wait to build our Character of having absolute faith in Him which will help us overcome other obstacles on our Journey to Heaven to ensure that we do not give up on the way though we may face trails and tribulations.
He doesn’t withhold some breakthroughs to feel like He has the upper hand over you as Satan would like to paint it in your mind and He is not watching you as you battle but watching over you and He is with you in the battle. God is on your side and not against you. When answers are delayed,Satan paints a picture that God is your enemy but it is not true. He does this so that you can abandon God but know that whatever God does is for a purpose that will work out for your own good. The bible also says that the Lord will not make us pass through things we are not able to overcome and will provide a way out.
God answers persistent prayers. Persistence shows absolute faith in God. We as humans can not defeat God’s purpose. If we end up backsliding thinking that will make God panic and answer our prayers immediately, we are deceiving ourselves. God will only answer persistent prayer because it for our own good. The only way to get your prayers answered is to go back to Him.
Luke 18:7-9 “And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

Why I stopped some prayers are because I don’t want anything that will make me to doubt my God,like I have one child and have been believing God for another one for the past 10 years so sometimes, I let goon the prayer and just say, He knows the best. I have been working as a casual staff in my office for over 15 years now,I have prayed, fasted and so on and it wouldn’t come so I will hand it over to His will and remain calm, are these wrong approaches?
