GET UP FROM SIN...

GET UP FROM SIN

Proverbs 24:16-18
“For a righteous man may fall seven times
And RISE again.”

Good evening friends and hope you are well. This post is for those who have been deceived by Satan that they will never be forgiven by God because they have sinned despite having given their lives to Jesus.

Every human being sins according to the word of God.

1 John 1:8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

What distinguishes Holy Spirit filled children of God from those in the world is that a child of God turns around from their sin when they realize thier wrong and repent.

1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” This means that WHATEVER nature of sin we have committed in that moment of error or backslideness will be forgiven,as long as it not the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I am stressing this point because some people find themselves in sexual sin when they were in a state of backsliding and they for some reason feel that this will not be forgiven. As long as you are genuinely repentant and remorseful of your sins, the bible says God will cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness.

There would have been no need for the bible in the new testament to talk about God having the ability to forgive us when we confess our sins if one ceases to error upon coming to God. This simply means that the human nature is still active and we can be subject to error. The difference is that we should endeavour to not sin and if we find ourselves in error,we are to correct it as soon as possible.

If we were perfect, there would have been no need for repentance because there would have been no sin.

However even as we repent,we realize that our righteousness is in Jesus Christ and not in our own doings (Isaiah 64:6).

Satan uses our moments of error to make us feel guilty and undeserving of God so that we should stay away from God and not pray. He is trying to make us fall deeper into sin. The bible says draw near to God and He will draw near to you and the opposite is true. Stay far away from God and He will be far away from you. Don’t run away from the Doctor when you are sick. Run to Him.

Satan uses this following bible verse to deceive many people to remain backslidden.

Hebrews 10:26″ For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins”

This talks about someone like JUDAS ISCARIOT who while knowing the truth decided to side with Satan against it.

This is not regular error.

This talks about someone like Demas who knew the word of God but abandoned it in preference for the pleasures of the world.2 Timothy 4:10 “Demas has forsaken me, HAVING LOVED THIS PRESENT WORLD and has departed for Thessalonica” Even He would have been received by God if he realized his wrong but he was headstrong on his decision and had made up his mind. He sealed his own fate. This is what the bible talks about. He trampled upon the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

This however does not mean we should set an agenda to sin. This refers to sin done in error. Many times when our prayer lives are weak,we find ourselves falling prey to many sinful things. That is why the bible says we should CRUCIFY the flesh with it’s desires (GALATIANS 5).

We can crucify our flesh by drawing near to God. Do His Will. Ask for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in prayer and He will lead you to all Truth.

Do not listen to Satan who tells you that God can not forgive you. Repent and come back to God.

Amen! Don’t allow your errors or sins affect your prayer life or your relationship with Jesus because the only way to overcome that sinful life is by abiding in Him by prayer and feeding ourselves with His word and separating ourselves from the lifestyle that makes us sin.

Hello Zipporah, I wanted to ask what do you use for your face to control oily skin? I am having a hard time keeping my face oil free and I am using Ponds vanishing cream, is it okay to use it since it’s not makeup and does not change how I look?
